Check out local alt-rock band Moonhowler (pictured) this Thursday as they play as part of Jam Sesh #6 over at Mr Wolf from 7:30 pm. Here is some of their stuff here. They will be playing with surf-rock wonders Space Party as well as heavy rockers Flash Anthem.

On Friday, classic Aussie rock band Mental As Anything return with a gig at the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan from 6:30 pm, while over at the Street Theatre Sebastian Field of Cracked Actor fame debuts his long-awaited new material, launching the new single “Liberty Bell” with Happy Axe from 7:30 pm. Over at the UC Hub from 8 pm, NSW music producer Ninajirachi will be launching her new release “Lapland” with LUC1D, Whole Different and No Result.

Come Saturday, the National Carillon will be performing classic Star Wars melodies from 11:30 am, and from 3, local singer/songwriter Hope Wilkins launches her new EP “Waste” at Smith’s Alternative with Teddy Conrick and Lakeside View. At night, Canberra Blues Society is putting on a big show at Harmonie German Club with Iseula, Matt Morrison, Anna Scionti and The Illegal Bootleg Band on from 7:30 pm, while Transit Bar is hostingIndiago with Dalmacia, The Differs and Sugar³ from 8 pm.
