Local indie rockers Plastic Plants (pictured) have only been around since the middle of 2018, but have not let that stop them billing shows all over the ACT. This Friday they will be opening the show for Sydney band Sports Bra, who is launching their new album “Talk It Out” at Transit Bar, from 8 pm.

Soundscapes is back for 2019 with a big offering, hosting Melt Quartet, Millie Watson and Deep Blue at Smith’s Alternative from 9:30 pm on Thursday, while over at the UC Refectory Forbes folkie Vera Blue will be taking the stage with help from Thandi Phoenix and Kesmar, starting from 8 pm.

The UC Refectory has another big show lined up for Friday, with local legends Hands Like Houses returning home, playing with Ocean Grove from 7 pm. Over at the Polo, indie-electro Sydneysider Princi will be in town, playing as part of Club Zig Zag from 9 pm. Then it’s absolute stacks happening this Saturday, including a huge lineup at The George Harcourt Inn for 2019 Untapped, which includes Choirboys and Thirsty Merc, a big night of doom metal at Transit and a massive show hosted by Shananigans at The Basement.
