scientology booklet

I got this booklet in the mailbox today in gordon, It seems like this is what was in those boxes from a previous post on the site.

The book is filled with guidelines on how to live but does not mention the church except for on a back page with details on how to order more and on the stamp on the back.

The To and From is handy. Given the time of year, why not use it as a secret santa present

Does the book talk about Xenu? Or the DC8s that transported him across space?

If not, why not?

Dub, you still don’t identify with any area! You too embarrassed?

So, TheRonbotHunter, Scientology’s gravest sin is simply claiming that other religions’ icons are false?

So Dub, our souls are quite fine, thankyou. We quite enjoy our lifestyle, with parks, shops and rural vistas. – though I will add – you dont say where you reside…

The way to Happiness Book is used by present Scientologists as their Bible, mostly by “volunteer ministers”. The Godless Cult of Sin and Greed would have you believe that Volunteer Ministers are like priests or chaplains. Anyone off the street is automatically a Volunteer Minister after just one mini-course.
The funny part of this farce is that nearly all the Ex-Scientologists including me, was a VM.
Another funny part is that all us VMs, are exposing the Godless Cult for the fraud that it is.
The Cult policy letters admit or claim that Jesus Christ was a phony and that all others like Mohamed, Buda were fakes.
If you knew how hard this Godless cult tries to keep the secret and ungodly things written by their GOD RON, the people would bomb the cults in one hour.
A VM position sounds good, but it is a PR joke to all who know the truth.
The cult takes innocents that want to help people, and use them to pose as holly men and women.
Go to a cult Sunday Session and enjoy the fun of finding out the truth. But don’t tell them I sent you or they will Fair Game you.

Lucky you. I got a DVD “Making a Killing, the untold story of psychotropic drugs”. Comes from the Citzens Commission on Human Rights but it doesnt hide that it is really Scientology.

Havent watched it, if anyone wants to provide me with a review I will, well, wont look at that either.

Oooh, they’re giving those away? Interesting…

There’s a review here by a doctor that they interviewed for the DVD, and when he realised who they were asked his clips to be removed from the movie (they refused, of course).

@Waiting for Godot: Scientology has always been dianetics. In general, whenever they want to avoid taxes, they call themselves scientology, and when they want to lure people through random books in a bookstore, they label it ‘dianetics’ and pretend it’s a science. But they’ve always been the exact same thing.

Perhaps it’s the gamer in me but I have an easier time thinking of Jesus coming back as a zombie (or that he had a soulstone or battlerez, lol) than I do thinking that my soul once belonged to an alien.

No no, clearly it was phoenix downs.

*meh* scientology is as credible as every other religious belief.

You’re right though, all belief systems are pretty loopy when you really look at them.

Anyone else see that Scientology had a channel 64 TV presence recently? Saw it on the digital TV guide a few days ago and had a laugh seeing youthful wide eyed presenters flog some anti drug message to death. Hopefully people have the sense to avoid the bogus crap on that channel 😀

they have their own channel? awesome comedy television.

Nah, they just buy airtime on the channel and fill it with their “Scientology is the bestest thing in the world” infomercial crap produced specifically for it. Here’s an example:

the intro was the best part!! i bet they made up all those stats.
the guy hosting looks dead in the eyes (usually expected amongst the faithfull). He wasn’t nearly as entertaining as Jesse Duplantis – this guy is wonderful and so hilarious. I used to stay up to watch him he is the only guy who can talk about how fat his mumma was in a sermon! and i don’t subscribe to any religion i find them all funny

I note Scientology is using their own name again. During the health and fitness boom of the late 1980s/early 90s they ran newspaper ads showing a muscular runner with the copy inviting people into “Dianetics” for “a healthy mind and healthy body”.

I got one and I’m in Belconnen. I immediately recognised it as bible basher crap and recycled it.

I don’t think Scientologists are interested in the bible. Hubbard wrote an alternative Religion Manual for them, about aliens and getting money off gullible people.

Ah, but you see, the Way to Happiness was written by Hubbard as a whole-sale rip-off of bible Sunday school teachings, in order to lure people to Scientology by saying things very similar to almost-secular Christians. The alien stuff isn’t actually revealed to a Scientologist until you’ve dumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into their machine, by which time you’re usually a believer in whatever they tell you.

I’m in Higgins and got one. We thought about having a ritual burning of it but ended up just tossing it out 🙂
