Three men to face court after 452 cannabis plants seized

Three men will face court today after search warrants were executed at homes in Amaroo, Macgregor and Ainslie yesterday (15 December) in relation to the cultivation of commercial quantities of cannabis in the ACT.

Officers from Belconnen Station seized 255 plants from the Macgregor house and 197 plants from the Amaroo house.

A 34-year old man and a 35-year-old man were each charged with one count of cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale.

A 64-year-old man faces two charges of cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale.

All three are scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (16 December).

Anyone with information about the manufacture, distribution and sale of illicit drugs in the ACT is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
