Hi all,

This is just a quick email to bring you up to speed with news from the Tonk camp.

We’ve been crazily organising the launch of our debut album – Sister Switchblade.

The launch will be on Saturday March 31 at the ANU bar and the doors open at 8.00pm.

It’s going to be a great night and we hope to see you all there!

We’ve been going hard with promotion of the show…

Tonight we become the first ever Canberra band to promote a local album launch on television.

Prime TV here in Canberra has helped us to put together a small campaign which will see the ad appear on Prime every night from tonight until the launch.

They’ve been really excellent in every way possible.

If you’re in Canberra, then please be watching Prime over the next week to catch the ad!

If you haven’t already heard, we’re also the FM 104.7 Made in Canberra artist of the month, and the station has been really supportive of us.

They’ve been playing ‘Stay’ from our album on a regular basis and have also helped us out with a series of great ads which you’ll hear on the station over the next 8 days in addition to the wonderful MIC promo stuff they’re already doing for us.

Black Thunder will also be giving away tickets to the album launch all next week.

A big thanks to all at FM104.7 for their outstanding support.

There’s also double page ad smack bang in the middle of the new BMA magazine, which came out yesterday.

The online version can be found at: http://www.bmamag.com/archive.htm

Thanks also to the whole crew at BMA who have also gone beyond the call of duty in their ongoing support of the band.

We would urge to you to watch Prime, listen to FM104.7 and read BMA – they’ve been fantastic to us and deserve your support for their commitment to local music.

I also hope to see you all at the launch so we can get really drunk with you, rock on, and christen the new album in the proper way!

Don’t forget to check out news and new music from the band at: http://www.myspace.com/tonkrocks

Thanks

Tonk

PS – We’re playing tonight in support of Kiwi rockers SHIHAD at the Venue in Erindale. We’re on at 9pm – I hope to see you all there.
