Two teenagers taken to hospital after head-on crash in Ngunnawal on Sunday morning

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital after a head-on crash in Ngunnawal on Sunday morning (25 November) which saw a driver trapped in her car for almost an hour.

Around 11 am, emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision on Mirrabei Drive, Ngunnawal. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found a 17-year-old girl trapped in her blue Honda.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to cut the teenager from the car.

The 17-year-old was taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical but stable condition, after suffering abdominal injuries.

Another 17-year-old girl, the driver of the second vehicle, was taken to Calvary Hospital in a stable condition.

ACT Policing are investigating.
