Voice your concerns about the Parkwood Planning Proposal

The community consultation process has commenced for the Parkwood Planning Proposal on the NSW part of the cross border Ginninderry development. See Ginninderry’s 5000-home proposal in Yass Valley moves to consultation phase.

After years of academic research and public consultations, we are still left with a ‘develop everywhere possible’ mentality putting only the steep slopes into a conservation reserve. This is not enough to protect erosion from urban water run-off; not enough protection from pyrogenic winds; not enough foraging space for species like the Rosenberg Monitor. It is not even enough for tourists to enjoy what’s left.

We will be putting in our submission soon and we will put a copy on our website, Ginninderra Falls and Surrounds. We encourage others to also send their own submission. To aid this, we have a proforma on our website with some ideas. See Submission: NSW Parkwood Planning Proposal.
