What do Kangaroos and bikini babes have in common?

By ANUstudent27 - 31 October 2011 16

bikini and roo

Absolutely nothing!

However, since you’re here you may as well fill out my 5 minute survey on the views of Canberra residents on the consumption of Kangaroo meat.

This babe, though not in a bikini, would really appreciate it.

Thank you to everyone who participated and provided constructive feedback, it has been an invaluable resource for my project. If approved by the university I will provide a copy of the report for anyone is interested.

And to those who disliked the bikini babe pic I have drawn you another, enjoy.

I don’t find women with big gaps between their big toes and next toe attractive.

Thanks

You are, however, required to secure permission for any photos you use as part of the research, or ANU could quite reasonably say you were behaving unethically in the name of your institution. The photo of the woman in the bikini looks to have been taken in Europe – has the subject or the photographer given permission?

@ ex-vectis – As I am an undergraduate I am not required to get ethics approval for any research however this also sadly mean I am not allowed to publish the results. However I may be able to use a summary and share my report, I’ll look into it.

@ p1 – Hilarious, that didn’t occur to me. Perhaps you should check wikicommons for the rest of the photo series, for science!

I like some nice ‘roo. As others have stated, the issue ’round here is about the limited number of choices & value for money. The gov’t burying the “culled” ‘roos in a hole is criminal in my opinion.

There is something about that photo (the BB not the Roo) which makes me think the other photos in the sequence are NSFW

Could you possibly publish the results of your survey? As someone who has had to resort to getting skippy meat from friends (shooting on their land) because the availability and cost is prohibitive, i’d be quite interested. Even the stuff you can get – $13 per Kg – is in rancid plastic bags and has been frozen. Oh to see a nice side of well hung Roo hanging from the butchers hook….

Roo is a part of my weekly diet, now that I can get it at my Friendly Local Caring And Not At All A Gigantic Corporate Empire supermarket.

What about consumption of Bikini Babe meat? (Well, someone had to crack that one! :-))

Roo meat – $12:99Kg, scandalous. Halve that and I’d eat it every day – bloody good tucker.

I answered your survey, but I think your questions could have been better.

I debated simply leaving a comment about women using sex to sell something entirely unrelated to sex. But then I realised that it’s okay for women to be this amazingly misogynistic, so I just filled out the survey and decided not to make an issue of it.

Incidentally, is that an English beach? It looks like a power-plant behind the woman (who may or may not have hands) after the rocks end. The blanket looks industrial too.

Looks like the beach at Pt Augusta to me.

The images are both from wikicommons, so she may or may not have hands and may be English 🙂 Thanks for completing my survey

‘The consumption of Kangaroo meat has gained popularity in Australia in recent years in light of the human and ecological health benefits of sustainable kangaroo harvesting.’ This hardly seems a neutral statement to place before a survey on attitudes to eating Skip.

Incidentally, is that an English beach? It looks like a power-plant behind the woman (who may or may not have hands) after the rocks end. The blanket looks industrial too.

If you’re going to phrase a question as “What are your main motivations…” you should probably allow more than one answer. Otherwise we can only ascribe a single motivation. Just sayin’.
