Over the past few days I’ve seen a single high heeled sandal on Streeton Drive, a pair of canvas men shoes on Sulwood Drive, a single trainer on Athlon Drive and a rather fetching single pump on Sternberg Cresent.
Is there some secret shoe society going on that I don’t know about?
Is it a covert way of showing where the dealers are (seeing we don’t have electricity wires) or is Cinderella on the loose?
I love this game! It’s like geocaching or augmented reality. You have to figure out who left the shoe there and return it to them for points, while evading everyone trying to figure out which shoe is yours!
Perhaps one legged people are simply discarding the redundant piece of footwear…
Ping them for littering.
shoe-icide bombers?
meanwhile in Belconnen, someone seems to have had quite a party judging by the ladies underwear strewn up Copeland Dr. lately.
There’s also a very small child’s running sneaker propped up on a post near Old Canberra House just off Liversidge Street. It’s visible near the intersection of Liversidge Street and Batchelor’s Lane.

… Costello, the Liberal party (except his love child Nick Minchin), the Greens, Left-wing crazies from the Hunter Valley, Jeanette, and so on. The list is endless (except maybe Kevin & Julia, who are still glad he hung around for so long.)

A work in progress…
& I thought this threas as going to be about throwing them…….
Time wounds all heels….
There was a pair of work boots on the road near the War Memorial roundabout a few weeks back, too. From memory one was on the road proper, the other off to the side.
Riveting stuff!
And on unrelated news, ex-Prime Minister John Howard has been seen walking in Canberra; sightings include Sulwood Drive, Athlon Drive and Sternberg Crescent.
I always see shoes or bits of clothing lying on the road, it makes me wonder what lead up to the event of it being there?
There’s been a lonely work boot (steel capped) sitting on the corner of Yamba Drive and Kitchener St for the last few weeks. That probably rules out Cinderella.
