Witnesses sought to O’Connor assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault which occurred at O’Connor shops yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, October 22).

About 4.40pm, a 25-year-old woman was approached by an unknown male in the car-park at O’Connor shops, on Sargood Street.

The man shouted at the woman and then head-butted her in an unprovoked attack, before fleeing down Sargood Street.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, approximately 188cm (6′ 2″) tall, with a shaved head, clear skin, and blue eyes. He was wearing camouflage pants and a white T-shirt with a black logo on the front and back.

An unidentified man asked the woman if she was alright and then drove off in pursuit of the offender.
Police are seeking to speak to the unidentified man and any other witnesses who saw the assault. Witnesses or anyone with information about the offender are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via https://act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
