A woman will face court this morning on one count of arson following a house fire in Conder last night.
The 31-year-old will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court after police were called to Eaglemont Retreat in Conder at around 9:15 pm last night, where they found a house already on fire and well alight.
ACT Fire and Rescue were able to put the fire out but the house was completely destroyed, while a neighbouring property suffered smoke damage.
Police approached the woman and she was subsequently arrested.
The incident follows the arrest of a Chisholm man who faced court on Thursday on arson and weapons charges.
A Territory-wide total fire ban was in place between midnight Wednesday, 20 November and midnight Thursday, 21 November as temperatures exceeded above 38 degrees.
