This just in from our friends at the ABC:

1. After September, how will Canberra fare with an incumbent or an incoming Government?

2. Paul Bongiorno loves the gallery; the portrait one.

3. Nursing Canberra – 100 years of stories about the region’s passionate and professional nurses.

4. Dapto Dancing – 60 years of memories at the Marshall Mount Community hall’s fortnightly dances. Our cameraman Greg Nelson at his best.

5. The delicate art of Tessa Dorman ( at The Front in Lyneham )

The first story managed to cover the range of opinions from gloom and doom, “we’ll all be rooned” through to “don’t you worry about that”. Sadly, I think Vince McDevitt’s comments about Canberra still being a company town, and thus fewer public servants will mean fewer private sector jobs, is closest to the truth.

Vince McDevitt must have been a traffic cop in his former career. He comes across as been one hell of an angry man. He was all Abbott Abbott Abbott and the 12,000 pubes that are going to be sacked. No mention of the 7,000 odd that have already been pensioned off early by the current government though.
