I’ve mentioned a few times recently how handmade products have taken off. Leading up to Christmas, almost everyone I knew was shopping at handmade markets or making their own handmade gifts to give to their loved ones. I personally love the concept and often wish I had the time to make my own little bits and pieces.
Whilst snooping around the Kingston Bus Depot Market recently, I stumbled across illuminate quotes; a gorgeous stall of framed quotes. Ok, it probably doesn’t sound all that exciting, anyone can print out a quote and put it in a frame, but I have to say that these are just amazing. Brooke Clifton, owner and designer, has put so much time and effort into presenting these quotes just beautifully. I immediately wanted to buy the whole store!
Some quotes are inspiring, others are motivational, there are funny quotes and just plain feel good quotes. My favourite was ‘don’t let anyone dull your sparkle’. And it’s not just framed quotes; you can buy prints without frames, handmade gift tags, various cards and even calendars.
These beauties would not only look fantastic at home but would also make the perfect gift. There are people out there (I am one of them) who just feel that the right quote can sum up a feeling or a situation perfectly; in that moment you realize that out there somewhere, someone else completely understands how you are feeling.
