Thanks to the Corinbank mailout:

The 2010 line-up promises music to suit every taste, from rock, to roots, pop, folk, hip hop and dance.

Aussie rock legends *You Am I* will headline, supported by blues/roots star *Ash Grunwald*, folk-pop princess *Clare Bowditch* and popular hip-hop artist *Urthboy*.

*Dallas Frasca*, *Astronomy Class*, *Batucada Sound Machine* (NZ), *Mojo Juju & The Snake Oil Merchants* and *Tijuana Cartel* represent the wide range of top quality sounds for the weekend.

In keeping with the Corinbank commitment to nurture Canberran talent, nearly 60 percentof the line-up is drawn from local ranks. More than 40 acts will hit three stages at Corinbank, providing a fantastic musical experience in an intimate, natural setting that is unique among Australian festivals.

The full program including music, visual arts, workshops, performances and many other activities will be announced early in 2010. Join the Corinbank mailing list to be the first to know.

Corinbank reached capacity on the Saturday in 2009 and with pre-release tickets for the 2010 event selling out in record time, festival-goers are encouraged to get in early to avoid disappointment.

Creative Campsites have just been announced!

Creative Camps is a unique concept that invites festival goers to add a touch of flair to the Corinbank program. The campsites become part of the festival, and this year you can expect a tented world of crazy, fun and useful activities.

This year’s festival goers can rock up at a fellow camper’s tent to stencil their shirt, cook their dinner in a solar oven, sample some home-brew, or revive the lost art of letter writing (including receiving a real reply) at the cleverly titled Literary Revolution camp.

Forgot your toothbrush or batteries? The Backup Plan camp will sort you out. Or perhaps you’d like to test your orienteering skills at the Mapping the Bank camp. The little ones can learn to play music or make a clay sculpture at the Creative Kids camp. The Yarn Bombing camp will teach you the finer art of knit graffiti and no doubt leave behind a tree-cosy or two. Or if you’re feeling macho or just a little bit too sun-kissed to make sense out of anything, test your mettle at the chilli-eating competition campsite known as the Johnny Cash Project. Ouch.

The Creative Camp program is an experimental gifting community. Campers offer their skills in return for nothing but a big, cheesy grin from their customers!

With more than 20 camps to explore, including one rumoured to be run by two of the festival directors, Corinbank really is no ordinary festival. If you want to be part of the fun, you best act quick. Tickets, available on-line at Corinbank.com, are selling super fast!

Festivals always come into their own in their third year. Mistakes made, learned from, improved on. All signs point to this year being pretty damn amazing!

Fingers crossed for good weather. If so or will be guaranteed better than the last. Which was absolutely awesome.
