71-year-old ACT man dies in motorcycle crash near Crookwell

A man who died in a motorcycle crash near Crookwell last Wednesday has been identified as a 71-year-old from the ACT.

NSW police and emergency services responded to reports of a single motorcycle crash on Laggan Taralga Road about 1 pm on June 20.

The male rider died at the scene but at the time had not been formally identified.

NSW Police today confirmed the man’s age and the fact that he came from the ACT but could not provide any further details.

Police have previously stated that specialist investigators examined the scene of the crash and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.

They are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.

Condolences to this man’s surviving family. We residents of the ACT certainly are having a shocking time with fatalities and serious injuries on our roads and roads in nearby NSW this calendar year. I think 14 locals have died so far this year, so let us try not to add to the tally.
