Lovely Ally is waiting to find her purrfect match!

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to independent Ally and playful Zara.

Cat of the Week – Ally

Playful Ally found herself at the Shelter due to her previous family having too many animals to look after, so now she’s looking for a new home to call her own. Ally isn’t a huge fan of life in the Shelter and has spent some time in foster care, receiving lots of love and attention.

During her time in our care, we’ve discovered that Ally is allergic to some foods, and is now on a special diet that makes her feel a lot better. Ally will need to continue this diet in her new home as well.

In the past Ally has lived a mostly outdoor lifestyle, however her foster experience was completely indoors and she was very happy. Ally could benefit from a secure outdoor cat run, but this is not a necessity.

Ally is searching for a friendly home with the opportunity to express her independence, but still share some love and affection when she chooses to give it. Ally has no interest in other animals and has requested to us that her new forever home will be under her rule and her rule only. Homes with other animals will not be suitable for this fluffy princess.

Zara is a sweet lady in need of a loving family!

Dog of the Week – Zara

Young, boisterous and full of life, Zara is a lovely young lady looking to find her perfect match and forever home. Zara has been working hard on her manners, coming along in leaps and bounds. Zara needs a home with an owner who is willing to undertake further training to ensure that she becomes a well socialised four-legged friend.

Zara came to us as a stray, and appears to have not had a lot of experience with other dogs. We believe that Zara could be open to meeting a friendly male companion, with a slow introduction beginning as part of the adoption process.

Zara would love to have a forever home with someone willing to spend time providing her with plenty of exercise and enrichment. We know that Zara loves to play in the water-filled clam shells and take long walks with our volunteers. When she is not playing with a tennis ball, you’ll find this lovely lady lazing about in the sun on her bed.

We recommend Zara for a family with children 10 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
