Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Ally and Hope are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Ally the Staffy Bull Terrier

The first of our Million Paws Walk feature dogs is Ally. She’s a gorgeous girl, and after seeing all of her puppies adopted from our shelter, she’s ready to be your new best friend.

Ally was protective of her puppies and we’re pretty sure she’ll show the same loyalty to her new owners. She’s what we call a ‘Velcro girl’ – she’ll stick with you.

Ally needs a bit of normality in her life to truly see her grow into the perfect dog. After giving birth here, she’s spent too much of her life (she’s only two and a bit) in an animal shelter.

She is clever, loves to play fetch and deserves a new home after supplying Canberrans with a large litter of pups earlier this year. It’s her turn for a furever home now.

Hope the Aussie Cattle Dog

Our second Million Paws Walk dog is Hope, a nine-month-old puppy girl who is already well aware of the benefits of befriending people! She’s what you might call ‘sooky,’ a clingy, affectionate girl who is built for home life, not shelter life.

She mostly needs a play friend (you?) to give her some confidence to play, run and enjoy life. She’s unfamiliar with toys but is pretty good with other dogs; although she can be a bit selective with which dogs she likes.

Hope is a classic Aussie Cattle dog who wants to be with her human. She’ll need a few training tips but she’s clever. It will be a relationship that forms quickly and lasts a lifetime.

Come and visit Hope and Ally today, they’d both love to meet you and become that new member of your family who gets all of the attention!

Pawnote: Last week’s Dog of the Week, Chappie the Bulldog was adopted! She’s off to a great home and who knows, maybe we’ll see her again with some other former residents of our shelter at the Million Paws Walk this Sunday.

Visit RSPCA ACT at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
