Shortly after a taxi driver I follow tweeted that the traffic was backed up to Rose Cottage and travelling at 25km/h. Thats before I left home… The traffic reports on Twitter are sometimes very useful.

I have enough trouble facing the mirror in the morning let alone a computer first thing…

Twittering or tweeting or whatever you call it using your mobile phone while driving is a definite no no but somebody who got got caught in a traffic incident or passed one could always wait until they got to work/home/school/wherever and tweet about then using their computer.

In any case, using a mobile for twitter while driving is surely as illegal as talking without a hands free kit etc.

I absolutely do not understand twitter.

I didn’t used to either. Then I had a need to use it to promote a side project and now I am hooked. I have three accounts (can’t have my worlds colliding) and I view them all at the same time via TweetDeck.

It’s a great way to catch breaking news, assuming you’re following the right people, and a great way to get your message out (if you have one that needs getting out).

Following #TheAshes the last few days has been entertaining as well.

Canberra doesn’t have traffic jams…just slow traffic…at times.
