Luna

Lovely Luna is a beautiful girl looking for a forever home!

Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Luna and Wallace are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Luna

Luna the dog is a huge bundle of love. This gorgeous girl enjoys being on the go, so a family ready to commit to daily exercise will be very important. Luna is looking for someone who has some experience with dogs. A person who will keep up her training and encourage her to learn new things.

Luna loves her daily walks out with our volunteers but is always keen for more exercise. Luna could make the perfect companion for someone who likes to run, bike or hike. Luna is keen for all forms of being on the go!

Luna loves games with toys, particularly tug. This lady is ready to battle it out and be the reigning champ.

Unfortunately, Luna can be very selective with other dogs, so at this stage would best suit being the only dog in her new home. Please keep in mind Luna is suitable for a family with older children, who should meet her prior to adoption. We recommend all interactions between children and dogs be monitored.

Wallace

Wallace the cat cannot wait to find his forever home.

Cat of the Week – Wallace

Meet Wallace the cat! This charming fellow was brought to the shelter by a concerned member of the public when he was found with a wound on his neck in need of urgent vet treatment. Upon arrival to the shelter, Wallace put up a solid front of grouchiness. Until we realised that he loved chin scratches!

As Wallace settled in, we discovered that his scabs and injuries were not from fighting other cats, but from fighting the outside world. Wallace is allergic to the outdoors. This led to Wallace being placed on a special Hills diet.

Wallace will need to be an indoor-only cat form here on out as his skin is quite sensitive to new things. Wallace’s family will need to be understanding of his current, and potential ongoing medical needs.

When Wallace trusts you, he is the chattiest and sweetest boy. We know that with enough time, love and (diet appropriate) bribes, he will be the most amazing companion for the right family. Wallace is looking for a family with adults only who have had previous cat experience. So if you think that could be you, make sure to make a booking and stop by!

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
