Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Jonathan and Nova are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Nova

Nova is a lovely and gentle dog who was surrendered to our shelter by her previous owner. Nova finds it hard to settle in unfamiliar environments as she is a very timid and quiet girl.

Nova would flourish in a calm and relaxed environment where she is able to come out of her shell at her own pace. Her perfect match would be a patient and loving owner who can slowly guide Nova and help build her general confidence.

Being a cattle dog, Nova will become your loyal shadow. Cattle dogs are highly observant and wary of unfamiliar settings, and Nova is no exception. She will voice her concern if she feels you, her nearest and dearest, is in any way threatened. This beautiful girl is nothing short of loyal and protective and will be by your side for as long as you are by hers.

She loves her walks and is beautiful on lead, particularly in nice and quiet areas. Nova would love a new forever home where she can settle comfortably and live her happiest life as a solo dog with her new owner.

Jonathan

Jonathan loves his ‘me-time’.

Cat of the Week – Jonathan

Jonathan loves nothing more than a comfortable bed and blanket, all of which he needs to take on the world – or at least to observe it. His ideal home would have lots of comfortable spots for him to do his thing.

Besides lounging around and relaxing, Jonathan loves cuddles and TLC from his people. He’ll adore you forever if you give him plenty of chin scratches and spoil him with your affection. Deservingly so, too.

He is a confident cat who sometimes prefers time to himself, which would be the perfect balance for a household that can offer both settings to this beautiful boy. Low maintenance yet full of love, Jonathan would love to find his perfect family and settle into his new forever home.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
