Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Splinter and Bubbles are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the week: Splinter

Meet Splinter!

Splinter is a pint-sized kelpie looking for someone to bring out the best in him! On first meeting, this boy presents as nervous and shy. He isn’t too sure of the world as he is only young and still learning to take everything in. But once he is comfortable, Splinter has all the energy he needs for a fun, bouncy play session. He has so much to learn and is very excited about it! Splinter would do well in a home with someone willing to put time and love into basic training as well as daily exercise.

Splinter would be a great adventure buddy as he has a lot of energy to burn off. He would love to come with you on a hike, take a big walk around the lake or play fetch while you hang out in the yard.

Splinter is really looking for his best friend. He needs a strong companion to help him become the best boy he can be. He gets along well with other dogs and could be a great buddy for a dog of a similar size that can match his energy levels.

Bubbles

Bubbles loves a good scratch.

Cat of the week: Bubbles

Meet Bubbles!

Bubbles is a bright, sweet and, er, bubbly mature kitten with loads of love to give. She is energetic, playful and still gets those crazy kitten zoomies. Her favourite thing to do is scratch. She loves a good scratching post that lets her exercise her claws, have a good stretch and get out all her energy! She also loves to wind down, lay in the sunshine and take many well-deserved cat naps.

Bubbles is very vocal and is always up for a conversation. If happy, she gives little chirrups, but if left alone for any length of time, she yowls like an old tom cat, night and day! She is very affectionate and likes to be where the action is.

She is super friendly with other cats but isn’t as comfortable around dogs, but she may adapt over time. She is looking for a home where she can be her bubbly self and relax when she chooses. She is not suited to young children as she occasionally gets overwhelmed, resulting in a little light slap. Despite her quirks, she’s incredibly loving and would be a great companion to someone who can give her the attention and love she needs.

Paw note: Last week’s dog of the week, Floyd, has found his furrever home, but Krumm the cat is up for adoption!
