A number of indoor activities have begun to appear on our radars as audiences are feeling more confident about gathering inside. Highly anticipated live shows are making their way to Canberra’s venues, giving the capital a renewed sense of life. The ACT Seasonal Antique and Collectable Fair is back for 2022. Over 20 recognised antique exhibitors will be present with an excellent stock of quality furniture, pints, jewellery, dolls and more for sale. The proceeds will go to the MyHome charity to provide safe and supported accommodation for people with an enduring mental illness who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

2022 Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival

A day where beer and cider enthusiasts can enjoy a broad range of craft offerings – surely one day isn’t enough? Mercure Canberra provides an ideal setting for breweries to display their wares. Eat Hot Chips with Big Swoop

Canberrans are invited to Garema Place to welcome Big Swoop, a large-scale magpie sculpture due for installation mid-week. Between 12 noon and 2 pm, free hot chips will be served in celebration of his imminent arrival. Measuring 2.4-metres high and 3.5-metres long, the oversized magpie was made possible by a Placemaking Grant from the City Renewal Authority. Created by Canberra-based artist Yanni Pounartzis, Big Swoop reminds us that humans are not the only residents in the area. The giant bird is asserting his territory and reminding humans who is the boss of Garema Place.
