ACT records 10th road fatality after accident on Black Mountain

A 10th person has died on ACT roads after a single-vehicle accident at Black Mountain last night (4 June).

At about 10:15 pm, police and emergency services were called to a single-vehicle incident on Black Mountain Road.

A 19-year-old woman was driving a Toyota coupe when she failed to negotiate a bend in the road and hit a tree.

Emergency services were able to remove the woman from her vehicle and she was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

This is the 10th road fatality in the ACT this year.

Police are urging drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.

ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner

Let’s just talk some sense here who let’s a young 19 year old lady drive out by herself I’ll give u some idea what old school
And respect is in college we would go out and hang out if a lady inexperienced or not sure or scared was leaving the car parks I would send a tracker car down to drive in front be her marker people thesedays are too selfishh gen mee for my liking think like me ull never go wrong Rest In Peace young lady ?????
