The annual four-day festival of tyre smoke, mullets and noisy car engines is returning to Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) for its 35th iteration.
It’s set to be one of the biggest events to date with 2700 cars booked in and tens of thousands of visitors expected to head to the nation’s capital to watch all the car action.
As one of Canberra’s biggest events of the year, Friday night will also feature a four-hour ‘mega rock show’ with Jon Stevens, Daryl Braithwaite, Diesel and Shannon Noll.

After a three-year hiatus, the Canberra International is finally back. This tournament will host some of the best men and women in the world as they prepare for the Australian Open. The men will take to the court in the ATP Challenger 100 event, the highest Challenger event in the country. The women will compete in the ITF 60 event, which will attract a host of the world’s rising tennis stars as they look to make their mark on the World Tour.

Sydney Opera House headliner soprano vocalist Ayşe Göknur Shana is coming to Canberra this weekend for a one-off show.
Joined by Tango master Pedro Florentino Alvarez and pianist Gabriel Gonzalez, audiences can expect to be transported to Argentina as they become immersed in tango music and dancing.
Snakes Alive

Taking place at the Australian National Botanic Gardens is Snakes Alive – a week-long exhibit of all things to do with snakes and other reptiles and amphibians.
Presented by the ACT Herpetological Association in the Crosbie Morrison Building at the Botanic Gardens, the exhibit will give kids and their families the opportunity to get up close and personal with snakes, see them be fed and also get to see some lizards, frogs, turtles, crocodiles and more.
