The COVID-19 Honour Roll was again a prominent feature of the Australia Day awards as dedicated public servants continue their pandemic response.

Surveying the last 3 years, surely what stands out is the complete failure to control Covid-19, whether with border closures, or lockdowns, or vaccines.

Yet here the government is, congratulating themselves on their control of Covid-19, and the handling of the pandemic. In this alternative reality, nobody asks why vaccines did not perform like vaccines, or why excess deaths are running at all time highs. Nobody asks about the costs of lockdowns, or the inflation resulting from industrial scale money printing.

Nobody asks the chief health officer what the lockdowns actually achieved, and whether she would recommend them again. Nobody asks her whether mandatory and coerced vaccinations were advisable, or whether it made sense to push Covid jabs on everyone, regardless of their risk to Covid.

Easier to just forget it all and give her an award instead.
