Mystery surrounds the death of a 51-year-old woman in Pialligo, which police are treating as suspicious.
The woman’s body was found at about 9:45 am on Tuesday (28 May) at the bottom of a set of stairs at a “shed residence” on Kallaroo Road.
Police took a 52-year-old man into custody late on Tuesday, but he was released without charge this morning (Wednesday).
ACT Policing said in a statement that police were not able to conclusively determine how the woman died.
“We have spoken to other people who lived at the Pialligo property and we would ask that anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward,” the statement said.
It remains an ongoing investigation and police and forensic investigators were still at the property today.
Anyone with information that can assist the investigation can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Quote 7759976.
