Five businesses in the Belconnen region were victims of burglaries over the course of about an hour earlier this week, police say.
ACT Policing said officers received reports of several businesses being damaged and burgled on Tuesday morning (4 June).
First, at about 3:10 am, police alleged a group of people tried to get inside a petrol station in Holt but were unsuccessful.
It is alleged that around 3:20 am, a fast-food store in Charnwood was broken into, tills were stolen before a pharmacy in Florey was burgled, and a register drawer was taken at about 3:40 am.
Then a takeaway store in Ngunnawal was allegedly broken into at 4 am before another takeaway shop in Evatt was burgled and a cash tray was stolen around 4:15 am.
“ACT Policing is asking local residents or anyone who was in the vicinity of the shops between 3 am and 4:30 am this morning to check CCTV footage and dashcams for suspicious individuals or vehicles,” a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.
