A man has been arrested after allegedly performing an indecent act on a Canberra bus while in front of a teenage girl who videoed the incident.

ACT Policing said the teenager was on the bus when she allegedly saw a male passenger sitting nearby committing an indecent act at about 7:15 pm on 14 January 2024.

She videoed the incident and the matter was reported to police that evening.

Police obtained security camera footage from the bus and began inquiries into the man’s identity.
