The Hume Highwayman

ACT Policing is asking anyone who saw a suspicious man in the Hume area early this morning (Sunday, November 4) to contact Crime Stoppers.

Around 12.25am a man was driving his car Southbound on the Monaro Highway, he had just passed the intersection of the Monaro Highway and Lanyon Drive when a man stepped out from the tree line and flagged him down.

After he pulled his car over to the side of the road the offender allegedly approached the victim’s car and produced a handgun, demanding the man’s wallet.

The offender removed a small sum of cash from the wallet before striking the man in the side of the head twice. At this point the offender stepped away from the car and the victim drove away from the area and contacted police.

The offender is described as African in appearance, 183cm (6’) tall, in his mid-twenties with a skinny build. He was wearing a short sleeved dark shirt with a wave motif and blue jeans.

Police are urging anyone who saw a man matching the above description in the Hume area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

The key difference between mature ideologies, as taught in Canberra’s religious schools, and new-fangled post-stalinist ideologies, as taught in Canberra’s government schools, is that the former teach that actions are more important than words/ceremony/appearances, whereas the latter shy away from moral values and instead teach that the important thing in life is to say the right thing regardless of the realities, aka ‘Political Correctness”.

This 40-year-long defect in the public education system explains today’s culture of self-obsessed materialism and the ubiquity of casual dishonesty into our society.
You can’t leave your front door open and if you leave your phone somewhere, whoever finds it will not return it to you. Bureaucratic fraud isn’t punished because it’s endemic. And the type of fraud leftism gets us is exemplified in the corrupt over-invoicing and credit cards for hoookers that Craig Thompson is going down for.

There can’t be too many blokes of African appearence who like to play with guns wandering around.

I’m sure the filth would have a fair idea who this is. It’s just a matter of getting the evidence.

I hope that when they do catch him the beak does a better job than is the norm in this town.

We don’t need lads on the loose with a penchant for playing with firearms in public.

Yeah, I had been thinking about him also. His name was Paul Onions and managed to escape from Ivan Milat (there is a school of thought that says it may not have even been Ivan however I don’t succumb to that line of thinking). If memory serves me correctly the car that stopped was the third he attempted to flag down. The only reason the lady stopped was because he was that desperate he ran out in front of her and gave her no choice. As soon as she had stopped he jumped into the car in panic and screamed for her to drive. I doubt he would have been picked up if he had not been so desperate.

If i was a female driving down the Hwy after dark and a male tried to wave me down i would NOT stop,for obvious reasons.
