Police are calling for information on an alleged road rage incident in Canberra where a passer-by’s car was damaged.
A white, single-cab utility had been seen appearing to deliberately block a silver hatchback with P plates at the northern end of Sheppard Street, Hume, at about 5:30 pm on 27 April 2023, ACT Policing said.
Police said a man had been “aggressively engaging” the driver of the hatchback.
While the hatchback drove away, it was allegedly closely followed by the utility.
It is alleged a passer-by in a blue Holden Astra followed the pair, but the driver of the utility then stopped and walked into its path.
This driver is alleged to have damaged the Astra as it was driven south on Sheppard Street.
Police urged anyone with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the alleged incidents to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Quote reference 7416438.
