Shane Rattenbury is celebrating the patronage figures for the centenary loop bus service:
Canberra’s new Centenary Loop bus has proven to be a success in its first month with passenger numbers averaging around 240 per day.
“I’m pleased to say that the Centenary Loop bus has been a very popular addition to Canberra’s attractions, and comments from passengers have been overwhelmingly positive,” Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Shane Rattenbury, said today.
“On weekends the new Route 100 Centenary Loop service is being used by more than 500 people over the two days, and the highest recorded patronage for any one day occurred on Friday 1 March when 478 people caught the service.
“Feedback on the Centenary Loop has been excellent and it is encouraging to get comments from people who are visiting Canberra and have travelled on the bus several times during their stay, as well as Canberrans who are regularly using the service to move around the city.
Here in the bunker we wonder how many people a hard working rickshaw cyclist could move in a day.
