ACT records 562 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 562 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 285 identified by PCR and 277 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 36 people in hospital, including two in intensive care and one being ventilated.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 68/7 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received a booster shot.

NSW recorded 8782 new cases and five deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 5046 new cases and four deaths.
