ACT records 758 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 758 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 413 identified by PCR and 345 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 92 people in hospital, including four in intensive care and two being ventilated.

Since the pandemic began, 125,220 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT.

The double-dose vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population remains 97.2 per cent, and 76.2 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have now received a booster.

Of ACT residents aged five to 11, 67.4 per cent have received two doses of vaccine.

Interstate, NSW has reported seven deaths overnight and 8,523 new cases of COVID-19.

Victoria has reported ten deaths overnight and an additional 9,307 cases of COVID-19.
