ACT records 823 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 823 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 434 identified by PCR and 389 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 69 people in hospital, including three in intensive care. No one is currently being ventilated.

The double-dose vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is now 97 per cent and 75.2 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have now received a booster.

Of ACT residents aged five to 11, 65.2 per cent have received two doses of vaccine.

Since the pandemic began, 104,941 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT.

NSW recorded 9,303 new cases and five deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 7,654 new cases and seven deaths.
