ACT records 885 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 885 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 451 identified by PCR and 434 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 75 people in hospital, including six in intensive care and two being ventilated.

Since the pandemic began, 118,728 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT.

The double-dose vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population remains 97.1 per cent, and 75.8 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have now received a booster.

Of ACT residents aged five to 11, 66.6 per cent have received two doses of vaccine.

Interstate, NSW has reported four deaths overnight and 9,036 new cases of COVID-19.

Victoria has reported ten deaths overnight and an additional 10,197 cases of COVID-19.
