ACT records six new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded six new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday. ACT Health can confirm that, based on whole genome sequencing in ACT residents, there are now two cases of the Omicron variant. The second Omicron case is a close contact of the previously reported individual.

There are a total of six active and cleared cases in ACT hospitals as of 8 pm yesterday, including two in intensive care.

A total of 1,292 negative tests were conducted in the 24 hours to 9 am today. There are 110 active cases in the ACT.

Of the Territory’s 12-plus population, 97.9 per cent are now fully vaccinated (as of 3 December).

In NSW there are 286 new cases and one death.

In Victoria, there are 980 new cases and seven deaths.
