CIFF has announced their people’s choice winners from this year’s festival:

    Best Feature

The Hunt, a Danish film directed by Thomas Vinterberg and starring

Mads Mikkelsen: a spine-chilling drama about an innocent man whose
life is threatened by a child’s lie.

    Best Documentary

Searching for Sugar Man, directed by Malik Bendjelloul: A Swedish/UK

film – presented as a mystery – following two music lovers who set out
to find their long lost rock hero, Sixto Rodriguez.

    Best Retrospective

The Shining, the UK/USA horror classic directed by Stanley Kubrick and

    starring Jack Nicholson.

slight typo ed: can’t see what won “Best Documentary”, and “Best Retrospective” isn’t a heading.

(I’m hoping ‘Room 237’ took the former)
