Formed in March 2018, the four-piece alternative rock band, Sputnik Sweetheart, have quickly established themselves in the Canberra music scene.

Led by front-woman, Nette, the band has built a reputation for delivering emotive, high-energy performances to sold out shows in their home-town of Canberra and beyond. Their original sound reflects an eclectic taste in music, drawing from a variety of Rock, Punk and Jazz influences. The songs are layered in vocal harmonies, creative guitar and bass riffs, and unexpected tempo changes.

In October 2018, the band released their debut single, Love You Best, which set them up to play a slew of local and interstate gigs alongside artists such as British India (MLB), Joyce Manor (USA), Radiator Hospital (USA), and White Blanks (WOL). Their debut track, Love You Best, then went on to top the Triple J Unearthed Indie Charts, and place fourth overall in the Triple J Unearthed Charts in February 2019.

Having recently recorded their debut EP with Fletcher Matthews (Sweater Curse, CLEWS, Dear Seattle), and mastered it with Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Chet Faker) Sputnik Sweetheart have new shows to announce and new music on the horizon.
