A 39-year-old Banks man will be summonsed to face court on drug charges after police executed a search warrant on his home earlier today (Tuesday March 8).
Acting on information received anonymously via Crime Stoppers, Tuggeranong Station patrol members attended the address about 12.30pm and contacted the man, who was not home at the time, to advise of the search warrant.
Under the house, police located an alleged hydroponic cannabis set-up. Numerous plants and three (3) containers suspected to be cannabis were seized, as well as equipment believed to be used for the hydroponic cultivation of the suspected drug. Investigations are continuing into the weight and approximate street value.
The man will be summonsed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on cultivation and possession of cannabis charges.
