As a sideline, not really Fyshwick but Qbn, there’s a funny old cafe up the cop end of Monaro st (and yes it’s full of cops at lunchtime) called the Rendezvous, it has a bunch of normal lightbulbs sticking out of its sign. Aaaanyway, if you buy a takeway thing like a hamburger or schnitzlburger or something, when you open the bag, they’ve cunningly inserted chips into any gaps in the hamburgery thing. You’ll only get 6 or 8 of them, but there they are. It’s their “thing”, apparently. Proper chips, too. Big fat ones.

The sandwich shop on townsville street by the newsagent does chips i think, the rest of their food is great anyway. They used to run the pizza shop in the old kambah south shops thats a church or something these days.

The Greasy Spoon under the ex-Parlourment House on Geelong St/Canberra Ave also goes alright in the fatty department, judging by the number of high vis vests that gather round at meal times.

The Snack Shack in Yallourn St. Also does the best burgers and steak sandwiches I’ve had in a long time.
