The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of severe weather tomorrow here in the ACT:

Blizzard conditions are expected in Alpine areas of the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes and the Australian Capital Territory above 1200 metres.

Emergency services advise you to keep clear of fallen power lines, stay indoors away from windows and keep children indoors.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service recommends that people consider postponing back country travel until conditions improve.

Winds gusting to 90kmph are also forecast, so a good time to batten down the hatches.

Clown Killer – you’re right on the money there!

The Aberlour will be coming out when I get home tonight.

Front Valley at Perisher is starting to look good. Could an opening weekend daytrip be on the cards?

Gungahlin Al1:00 pm 09 Jun 10

Fingers crossed. The kids want to try out their new Aldi Snow Slider…

Oh somedays I should give up.. I just realised the repeat in the room. I’ll just agree with ya Pommy.

Hells_Bells7412:20 pm 09 Jun 10

Lol, nice one Pommy. If only they had that out the front of the BoM.

Pommy bastard12:06 pm 09 Jun 10

The BOM would give better forecasts if they invested in one of these

Indeed Conan and I hope the snow comes soon for you.

Cold.. yes
Miserable and dampish.. yes
Gusty and stormy.. um no, pretty mild out Evatt way still.

Guess something could still blow in.

It’s a BoM report, which means it’s more likely to be fine and sunny than it is to be blizzard conditions.

Some snow would be good though, I have plenty of hills and my snowboarding gear was unpacked last week!

But Johnboy that’s not fair! All the stress of being scared in a storm and hiding under the bed while the windows shake yet still no blizzard at 800m within walking distance of my house???

Epic POUT!
