ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after the Braddon Supermarket was robbed by a man armed with a knife last night (Saturday, 28 December).

Around 8.15pm, a man entered the supermarket on Lowanna Street, Braddon and approached the employees making demands for cash. While making the demands the man was brandishing a large kitchen knife.

An employee complied with the demands and gave the man a sum of cash. The man then fled the supermarket, running across the parkland directly opposite the store.

The man can be described as 6’ (183cm) in height with a solid build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black and white striped ‘hoodie’, blue jeans, dark coloured sneakers and a cloth that covered his face.

Anyone who recognises the description of the offender or has information about the aggravated robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000. Information can be provided anonymously.
