Brumbies have headed into their June break with a win under their belt, after playing exciting attacking rugby in front of a modest crowd at GIO Stadium.

The Brumbies beat the Sunwolves 41-31 on Sunday afternoon, their second win on the trot in front of 9,521 fans.

The crowd was well short of the Brumbies’ target of 15,000 but was a major improvement from their last home game attendance against the Melbourne Rebels.

Henry Speight had one of his finest performances in a Brumbies jersey and finished with a double, while Tom Banks showed why he was selected in the Wallabies squad to face Ireland this weekend with a masterful performance in attack and defence.

Local photographer Ben Appleton from Photox was at the game to capture all the action on and off the field.
