Brumbies shame Canberra. 52-10 to the Crusaders.

By johnboy - 12 March 2011 5

Foxsports has the grisly reportage of the Brumbies humiliating capitulation to the Canterbury Crusaders in Nelson.

Time to sack the coach again?

Anyone agree the Brumbies looked better with Toomua at 10 and Gits moved to 12?

And why can’t our wingers tackle? Or score tries?

And why did we line up Coleman against SBW? No offence to Coleman but surely he never stood a chance… Maybe bring back Tyrone Smith for these games? Surely Coleman could have moved out to the wing and replaced Speight or Fanifo?

While I am disgusted with the recent performances of the Brumbies it’s pleasing to see a captain (Matt Giteau) finally tell the supporters the truth – that the perfornmanes are unnacceptable and that the Brumbies have been kidding themselves that they are up to the mark.

Like other supporters I’ve felt this crop have been underperforming – but perhaps the reality is that they are simply not the team we make them out to be?

So Andy Friend is 1-1, while the new world order is a feeble 0-2.

This is going well.

A bye next weekend will give them a break from losing.

I’m guessing the lesson from this is that maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t the coach that was the problem. Strongly suspect though that this lesson is not going to get much attention from Brumbies HQ or the players.
