The Canberra Times has a story on Canberra based Locata Corporation and the work they’ve been doing to enhance positioning.
I have some reservations about the story, but Locata link to a scan of a recent story in the Financial Review which has much more interesting detail.
There’s also a very technical Positioning Signal Interface Control Document for the wonks.
Basically we’re talking about a positioning system which doesn’t need fragile satellites and good for near centimeter level accuracy. Nice work David Small and Nunzio Gambale.
