Cash, cocaine seized in cross-border operation

Two men will face appear in court today (Saturday, 15 May 2021) on charges relating to drug trafficking after a joint police operation on Friday.

ACT Policing and NSW Police executed search warrants in several locations, seizing cash and cocaine.

The warrants executed in Gilmore, Hume, Phillip and Queanbeyan allegedly yielded trafficable quantities of cocaine, a prohibited firearm and about $100,000 in cash suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

Police believe the 29-year-old man arrested in the ACT and the 36-year-old man arrested in NSW yesterday are part of the same criminal syndicate as a 26-year-old man arrested in Belconnen on 30 April 2021.

ACT Policing will continue to investigate drugs and organised crime within the ACT and would like to thank the ACT community for their continued assistance;
