ACT Policing has charged one man and a second man will be summonsed in relation to an aggravated robbery at the McDonalds restaurant in Dickson on Saturday 21 September 2013.
About 10.30pm, two males were seated in the outdoor area of the McDonalds restaurant in Dickson. They observed a 20-year-old male from Charnwood proceed through the drive-thru in a white Honda Prelude. A short time later the 20-year-old male approached the two males and verbally accosted them. The man then took a mobile phone from the victims and produced a blade, demanding cash. The two men surrendered a wrist watch to the man, who then fled.
A second male was also present during the aggravated robbery.In the following week, police identified the two males believed to be involved in the aggravated robbery and later recovered the mobile phone that had been stolen.
The 20-year-old male from Charnwood was charged with aggravated robbery and will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (30 September 2013).
The second male will be summonsed to appear at court at a later date.
