A very funny man will be on stage some some very funny thing tonight at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre Comedy Club @ The Space. (139 Reed Street, Greenway).

This is the last TAC comedy night of the year and should be a huge night. Supporting the hilarious (and clean – so bring your mum) Michael Connell from Melbourne, is a great line-up of talented performers. Raw Comedy ACT Winner Johhno Davis, Hamish Hunter (formerly of Herbie and the Coleslaws), the fabulous Georgie B, Ned Hirst (runner up in this year’s Melbourne Comedy Festival ‘Class Clowns’ comeptition – and former Canberran, the lovable Toby Halligan will be the emcee for the evening.

People complain that there’s nothing to do in Canberra, let alone Tuggeranong. Why not come down and support some quality local entertainment.

$10ea, doors open 7.30 for 8pm start. Alc and non drinks available.

A fantastic night was had by all (60-70) in the packed house of the TAC Comedy Club for its 2010 finale, last night.

All five acts and the emcee pulled out fantastic performances and had the crowd holding their sides throughout the night. We’d love to get some feedback from ‘rioters’ who attended the show (or even those who didn’t) on what they thought of the night and whatever else they’re inclined to say about the local comedy scene.

TAC comedy club will be taking a break until March when the big acts will continue to roll in.

There will be other shows in the meantime in various local venues such as open mics the Front (Tues Dec 14) and the Pot Belly (Wed Dec 15). Stay tuned and visit http://www.comedyact.com.au to find out what acts are coming soon. Most notably, visiting renowned British comedian Jeff Green (as seen on Spicks and Specks) will feature in back-to-back shows at the Civic Pub in January. Tickets will be available through the website.
