Dickson College’s ‘Trying to be funny by shouting “ME TOO” weeks after the original joke was made’ class have just put out a Harlem Shake video. Note this video has actually been posted up by Dickson College itself. You know a meme is dead once your school administration starts getting involved.
In other news, the Economist is reporting that old people are angry that the Harlem shake videos aren’t doing the real Harlem shake.
Chef Jones, who is in her 50s, remembers the original version. “That’s not authentic. It can’t compete with the Harlem Shake I know,” she says as she moves her shoulders and arms to demonstrate the original move on Harlem’s busy 125th Street.
So old people are cranky, people like me are wanting to move on, and the internet troll machine is going to continue upsetting everyone. Business as usual people.
I have to say though, the kid dancing at the start is amazing.
