If you love dogs and the snow – then your day is about to be made.
Dogs day out in the snow returns to Corin Forest for the next two weekends, giving dog lovers far and wide and their furry four-legged canine friends a chance to enjoy the wonders of the snow in three sessions across each day of the weekends.
Andrew Snell from Corin Forest said last year’s dogs’ day was such a success that the team decided to run it for two weekends this year.
“Last year was the first year and it was meant to be a bit of a trial after we received a lot of requests over the past few years about being able to bring dogs to the snow,” Mr Snell said.
“Last year went really, really well. We had about 500 dogs over the weekend and with such a great response we decided to run it again this year and open it up to the two weekends.
“We are hoping to at least double the number of dogs that come out but that depends on the weather.”
Ms Snell said Corin Forest will set up two different areas so everyone can enjoy the day.
“We have set up a dedicated snow play area for dogs and their owners. Corin Forest will be operating as usual, with snow play and snowsports running for just people,” Mr Snell said.
Only a 45-minute drive from the heart of Canberra, Corin Forest is an easy, convenient and cost-effective option for Canberrans and their best friends to get amongst the snow.
